About me

I studied at Yorkshire Hypnotherapy Training and was awarded the Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy and Certificate of NLP Skills.  

I am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council and work in accordance with their Code of Conduct, Ethics and Performance.

I am also registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register, the largest professional body for hypnotherapists within the UK, and I have been awarded the General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice. I work in accordance with the GHR's Code of Ethics.

I hold appropriate professional insurance, and have passed stringent academic and clinical assessments to ensure my fitness to practise. I am also listed in the Hypnotherapy Directory.

I have a Certificate in Hypnotherapy Supervision and I am also a GHR Acknowledged Supervisor.

Additionally, I have undertaken the following specialist training:

Smoking Cessation

I hold the CIT Diploma in Smoking Cessation Therapy and am a member of the Guild for Smoking Cessation Specialists and Therapists. I am also a Member of the National Smoking Cessation Institute, and a NSCI Member Therapist at the York branch of the National Stop Smoking Centres.

Occupational Stress Management

I also hold the YHT Certificate in Occupational Stress Management and am a member of the Guild for Stress Management and Trauma Specialists.

EMDR/BLAST

I am a BLAST™ practitioner and use EMDR techniques for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), trauma, phobias, etc. I hold the BLAST Technique, EMDR, PTSD & Trauma Certificate awarded by the Warwickshire School of Hypnotherapy.

OldPain2Go

I am an OldPain2Go™ certified practitioner. I trained with Steven Blake, who developed this methodology whilst working as a therapist on hundreds of people with physical and emotional pain.

Life Coaching

I have an ACCPH-accredited Certificate in Coaching Skills for Hypnotherapists (hypnocoaching).
